🍎Chinese produce platform Dingdong Maicai raised $1.03B series D funding. The e-commerce platform sources fresh fruits and vegetables from farmers and agribusinesses and delivers them directly to consumers, who can place orders via a mobile app.

🧫Eat Just, Inc. secured $170M to scale up its cell-based meat subsidiary, Good Meat. Its latest funds will be used to accelerate R&D and increase capacity of its cell-cultured meat products, and the raise comes at the same time as the announcement that its cultivated chicken bites will be sold in the JW Marriott Singapore South Beach’s Cantonese restaurant, reflecting growing corporate and consumer interest in cell-based meat.

🌲Terviva raised $54M and has partnered with Danone to commercialize its “highly-sustainable, new-to-market culinary oil and plant protein”, made from its pongamia trees grown on degraded land.
