🍅 San Francisco-based tech startup Afresh secured $13M series A funding to further development of what it claims is ‘the first fresh food optimisation platform for grocers powered by artificial intelligence’, which could help stores reduce food waste by 25% and see 2-4% top line revenue growth.  

🍔 Israeli 3D-printed plant-based food startup SavorEat has gone public in Israel and raised approximately $13M from its IPO. The company plans to continue development of its first product, a plant-based hamburger, and hopes to apply its technology to other sustainable foods.

🍛 Premium meal delivery service Feast & Fettle has closed a $1.2M seed round to expand its production in New England. The brand’s revenue is set to be up by 250% in 2020.

♻️ Re-Nuble’s strategy on food waste is to turn it into a way to grow more food, through ‘upcycling’ organic compounds from unrecoverable food waste into nutrients for soilless farms, and the New-York based company just raised $1.1M seed funding.
