💰 US food delivery giant DoorDash has acquired Finnish competitor Wolt in an all-stock transaction for €7 billion. Wolt was founded in 2014, pioneered the European food delivery sector, and operates in 23 countries.

⛽️ Bioenergy DevCo secured $100M to support the development of multiple anaerobic digestion facilities, which use microorganisms to convert organic waste material into fuel and fertilizer, across North America.

💪 Irish biotech Nuritas raised $45M Series B funding to “improve human health” with plants. It has developed a peptide for skin health discovered in peas, and a peptide for muscle health discovered in fava beans, both due for launch in 2022.

💡 The Naked Market closed $27.5M Series A funding to continue its “fast fail” development method for healthy food brands, which includes an end-to-end infrastructure designed to go from idea to market in just three months.
