Meet Ross, Co-founder & CEO of Daring Foods- from athletic meat eater to entrepreneurial plant-based entrepreneur

Bio:

Meet Scottish plant-based entrepreneur Ross Mackay, Co-Founder and CEO of daring.

He has the mentality of a seasoned entrepreneur and CEO, yet, he's still only 29.

Ross grew up in Glasgow, the youngest of 3 siblings.

He's always had an entrepreneurial itch in him which started with selling his lunches at school for an extra buck.

Pair that with his desire for greatness (like representing Scotland in Tennis) and his obsessive behaviour..

It was only a matter of time till Ross launched something big.

Through his athletic upbringing - Ross started searching for the best nutrition to fuel his lifestyle.

He questioned the need for animal proteins and began experimenting with a plant-based diet.

He soon found most of the alternatives in the market didn't match up to his nutritional needs.

And decided to launch his own brand - creating great tasting, clean label plant-based alternatives to chicken.

When he was satisfied with his early development, he immigrated to the U.S. to start his business.

It's been 2 years.

Today, Ross and his company daring have gone from 2 employees to 30+, picked up $12M along the way and are listed across major US retailers

Discussion:
