🧫 Ark Biotech (FH'W21), a B2B company engineering and designing bioreactors and operating systems which will help take cell-based meat from pilot plants to industrial scale, raised $2.5M to scale its operations.

🇸🇪 Swedish startup YOUR BEET (FH'W21) raised SEK 6 million (€600,000) to support its app, designed to help consumers transition to a plant-based diet through personalised nutrition recommendations.

🗑 Grocery robot specialist Simbe Robotics patented a system which detects in-store produce and meats freshness, which could help with storage and pricing strategies to reduce food waste.

🐄 The Dutch government has announced a €25 billion plan to drastically reduce the country’s livestock numbers, thanks to a pollution crisis caused by an overload of manure.
