🥗 FreshRealm raised $32M, bringing its total funding to $46.6M. It claims to be the only US prepared fresh meals company with nationwide reach, and plans to focus on product innovation and developing proprietary ingredients for its meals.

🐔 Singapore-based food tech Next Gen, the firm behind cult vegan chicken brand TiNDLE, raised $20M in its extended seed round at a $180M valuation and plans to launch in the US market within the next twelve months.

🌱 Plant-based food brand Wicked Kitchen, which first brought its products to markets in UK retailer Tesco in 2018, secured $14M series A funding to land its ranges in the US.

🧫 French cell-based startup Gourmey raised $10M in equity and debt. Previously focused on cultivating foie gras, the startup now has its eyes on disrupting the $300B global poultry market.

🍄 Mycorena has officially opened its pilot plant for its flagship ingredient, Promyc and made tremendous progress since raising their round in May 2020.

🚲 Abu Dhabi-based shared micro mobility operator Fenix is launching a 10-minute fresh grocery delivery service, F10. The firm will repurpose its existing fleet of electric scooters and its back-end logistics to increase its overall profitability.

🥬 Finland’s Netled has signed a €15M agreement with Sweden-based Oh My Greens to bring its industrial-scale vertical farming operations to Sweden.

Turns out the hunch was right as Nestlé just announced it's partnering with Israeli food tech Future Meat to enter the cell-based meat market, reportedly to work on products that mix its own plant-based proteins with Future Meat’s cultivated protein.
