We’re sad to announce that the FoodHack Summit 2021 has been postponed until May 12th and 13th, 2022.
This decision has not come easily, but with the rising concerns on the current spread of the COVID Delta variant, postponing until a later date is the only way to ensure the safety of all participants and attendance from international attendees and speakers.
The FoodHack Summit has always been about bringing great minds together in-person to meet, connect, exchange, and collaborate. We've explored the idea of a virtual Summit, but ultimately found the format is not what our participants, speakers, and partners want, nor what the FoodHack team had envisioned for our first meeting back.
Instead, The Summit has been postponed to a new date, May 12th and 13th 2022 and will take place at the originally planned venue of Beaulieu in Lausanne, Switzerland. You can find all the latest information here.
On the 6th of October 2021, in place of the original Summit, a private Demo Day will be hosted virtually for startups and investors to meet. You can find out more information here.
I'd like to thank the incredible line up of top founders and operators that accepted our invite to speak, our partners that are supporting our events, and to all the global attendees that booked their place early. It’s unfortunate we won’t be able to meet this year, but are hopeful and confident that next year’s Summit will come back even stronger.

Why have you postponed the FoodHack Summit?
The FoodHack Summit was planned for October 2021 at a time when the COVID delta variant was not yet known. Due to the recent increase spread, we’ve made the decision to postpone the event:
1) to ensure the safety of all participants
2) to ensure that our international speakers and attendees can attend the event without any travel / quarantine restrictions.
3) to maintain the quality of the event that we envisioned and promised to all attendees and stakeholders.
Why not make it a virtual event?
Virtual events can be great, they’re just not right for the FoodHack Summit.
The goal of the FoodHack Summit is to bring international speakers and attendees together to meet in-person at an event that emphasises networking and collaboration. One where we can shake hands, high five, eat from buffets, try new products from startups and just hang out in close proximity.
We believe that the virtual format has its limitations and would not allow for us to carry out this vision. Instead we’ll postpone the Summit to 2022 when in-person events should be feasible again.
What if I’ve already got a ticket?

Are you offering refunds?
Yes - we offer full refunds to the Summit or the option to postpone your ticket until the Summit in May 2022. You can fill in the form here to make a refund / postpone request.
What If I’d like to keep my ticket to attend in 2022?
We’d love to have you maintain your ticket and use it to attend the Summit in 2022. You’ll also likely have secured the best price ticket available as prices will increase in 2022. If you haven’t yet, please fill in the form here to postpone your ticket.
I’ve already booked my flights / hotel - what can I do?
Unfortunately we don’t cover flight / hotel cancellations - we do recommend requesting to change your flight / hotel dates so that you can attend the Summit next year. The dates are 12th - 13th May 2022.

Will you have the same speakers in 2022?
Yes - many of the speakers confirmed for 2021 will stay on in 2022. For the few that cannot make it, we’ll have speakers of the same calibre.
Will you still have the same agenda in 2022?
Yes - we’ve built what we believe is a winning schedule and will maintain the majority of it for 2022. You can already find the provisional schedule here.
Will you still be hosting a Summit in 2021?
No, we will not be hosting the Summit until in-person events are possible. We have instead moved the Summit to May 12-13th 2022 and in-place of the Summit, we will be hosting FoodHack’s Virtual Demo Day. You can find more details on FoodHack’s Virtual Demo Days here.
When and where will the next Summit be held?
The FoodHack Summit 2022 will be held at Beaulieu in Lausanne, Switzerland on the 12th and 13 of May. You can already book your tickets here.
Can I request to speak at the Summit 2022?
We currently have a long waiting list of potential speakers for the Summit. We please ask that you really consider the current calibre of speakers and think about the value you can bring to the line-up before contacting us about speaking opportunities.

To ensure the safety of all attendees, staff, and vendors, The FoodHack Summit will require all attendees to be fully vaccinated or to show proof of a negative PCR test 72 hours ahead of the event. All final safety protocols and requirements will be finalised and shared with participants by Sept. 1, 2021 inline with the latest regulations.
We get it, travel plans can change, especially at a time like this. In order to give you the peace of mind, and ensure you don’t miss out on early-bird tickets, FoodHack will honor all attendee cancellations or requests for refunds with no penalty until Sept. 1.
