Plantruption

At Plantruption, we aim at building a brand of sustainability with innovation by cutting out the middleman and the fish; while creating an awesome seafood experience. Some important facts, 60% of all fish stocks are at capacity and 30% of stock are completed depleted and the demand for seafood is increasing. With the world’s population expected to grow to 10 billion, there is no way our oceans can keep up.

How are we going to feed the world sustainability? Seaweed, which requires no fresh water no fertilizer and no arable land, is one of the world’s most sustainable and nutritious crops. It absorbs dissolved nitrogen, phosphorous, and carbon dioxide directly from the sea—its footprint is negative, and we are using same in our products.

Our wild seaweed is hand-harvested from the Atlantic Shores and is delicious blend of dried red, brown and green seaweeds certified to be organically harvested, combined with a wholesome mix of protein rich tempeh, vegetable and flavours from the sea.

Our packaging is fully compostable and dissolves in the ocean within 12-14 weeks. Our aim was to create a plant-based product as sustainable and ethical as possible. The health benefits are sometimes too long to list, super nutritious, high in iodine, iron, vitamin C antioxidants, soluble and insoluble fibre, vitamin K, vitamin B-12 and a range of other nutrients important for human health and is an excellent protein alternative with a huge level of Protein 29.9g

Our mission? To disrupt how food is produced to benefit oceans, terrestrial ecosystems and future generations.
